Job Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist, Rad Tech, or X-ray technologist in diagnostic imaging
• Active ARRT certification (ARRT-RT)
• Valid Vermont Radiologic Technologist license
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Comfortable working rotating shifts and every other weekend
• Reliable vehicle required (limited public transportation access in Rutland)
• Familiarity with radiation safety, patient positioning, dose optimization, and image quality best practices
• Experience in CT, MRI, DEXA, or vascular imaging is valued but not required for this assignment

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic imaging procedures (X-ray) per physician orders and departmental protocols
• Operate imaging equipment safely and efficiently while following radiation safety and ALARA principles
• Ensure high-quality diagnostic images through proper patient positioning and radiographic technique
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in the electronic health record (EHR/EMR)
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to support patient care and workflow
• Participate in biweekly orientation and ongoing training to support travel assignment success
• Adhere to all regulatory, safety, and compliance standards for radiology departments
