Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,150 - $2,310
- Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 5/4/2026 – End: 8/1/2026)
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Shift: 8- and 10-hour rotating shifts, days and evenings (potential for mostly evenings), every other weekend
- Setting: Diagnostic Imaging Unit — X-ray
- Employment Type: Travel Radiologic Technologist / Travel Rad Tech
- Orientation: Biweekly
- Location: Rutland, VT 05701 — Rutland, Vermont (Green Mountains)
Job Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist, Rad Tech, or X-ray technologist in diagnostic imaging
- Active ARRT certification (ARRT-RT)
- Valid Vermont Radiologic Technologist license
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Comfortable working rotating shifts and every other weekend
- Reliable vehicle required (limited public transportation access in Rutland)
- Familiarity with radiation safety, patient positioning, dose optimization, and image quality best practices
- Experience in CT, MRI, DEXA, or vascular imaging is valued but not required for this assignment
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures (X-ray) per physician orders and departmental protocols
- Operate imaging equipment safely and efficiently while following radiation safety and ALARA principles
- Ensure high-quality diagnostic images through proper patient positioning and radiographic technique
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in the electronic health record (EHR/EMR)
- Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to support patient care and workflow
- Participate in biweekly orientation and ongoing training to support travel assignment success
- Adhere to all regulatory, safety, and compliance standards for radiology departments
