Description
American Traveler is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist for a Maternal Fetal Medicine unit at a large academic Level I Trauma hospital, requiring ARDMS OB/GYN credentials and a minimum of 2 years of experience.
Details
- Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) unit in a large, 579-bed Level I Trauma academic teaching hospital with 2 campus sites
- Caseload of up to 8 patients per day (4 in the AM, 4 in the PM); twin pregnancies count as 2 scans
- Scope includes OB/GYN procedures — GYN experience required; breast experience is not required
- Procedures include routine and detailed fetal anatomy scans, follow-up OB, BPP, umbilical and MCA Dopplers, 1st trimester scans, pelvic exams, sonohysterograms, and HyCoSy
- Epic EMR — experience within the past 2 years is required and non-negotiable
- 8-hour day shifts, Monday through Sunday
- Weekend availability on an as-needed basis
Requirements
- ARDMS registration with OB/GYN credential required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist
- Large, academic teaching hospital experience required
- Proficiency in OB/GYN ultrasound including fetal anatomy scans, BPP, Doppler studies, 1st trimester, pelvic, sonohystogram, and HyCoSy
- Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years required
- Prior travel experience required
- Two professional references required — at least one from a nurse manager or supervisor within the past 6 months, and one from within the past year of employment
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- This position is an interview-to-offer (IVS) process
- Bi-weekly orientations are held on Mondays
- Block scheduling is not available for this position
- COVID and flu vaccination declinations are accepted — proof of vaccination or signed declination must be provided
- Public transportation is not accessible in this area; a personal or rental vehicle is strongly recommended
- Candidates with a New York license pending may be considered with proof of pending licensure included
