Description

LifeBridge Health is seeking a compassionate Transporter to safely move patients, equipment, and specimens throughout our hospitals. In this role, you will support clinical teams by ensuring timely, respectful transport between departments, following all safety and infection control protocols. You will assist patients in and out of beds, stretchers, and wheelchairs, maintain clean equipment, and communicate effectively with nurses and staff. Safely transport patients between departments, units, and diagnostic areas
Assist patients with transfers to and from beds, wheelchairs, and stretchers
Transport equipment, supplies, and specimens according to hospital protocols
Follow infection control and safety procedures at all times
Communicate clearly with nurses and clinical staff about patient status and needs
Ensure patient comfort, dignity, and privacy during transport
Respond promptly to transport requests and prioritize urgent cases
Maintain transport equipment in clean and working condition
Use hospital communication systems or transport software to manage assignments
