Description
Sevita is seeking a compassionate Transportation Driver to safely transport individuals to and from medical appointments, programs, and community activities. In this healthcare-focused role, you’ll operate company vehicles, assist with boarding and mobility devices, and ensure comfort, safety, and dignity for each person served. You’ll follow established routes and schedules, maintain accurate trip logs, and communicate with care teams and families as needed. At Sevita, you’ll work in an inclusive, supportive culture with ongoing training and development to grow your skills and make a meaningful impact every day.Safely operate company vehicles to transport individuals to medical appointments, programs, and community activities
Assist passengers with boarding, securing wheelchairs and mobility devices, and exiting vehicles safely
Follow assigned routes and schedules while adapting to traffic and weather conditions
Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns
Maintain accurate trip logs, mileage, and required transportation documentation
Follow infection control, safety, and emergency procedures in line with healthcare standards
Communicate professionally with care teams, families, and supervisors regarding schedules and rider needs
Support individuals with respectful, person-centered service that upholds dignity and independence
Patient transport procedures
Safe vehicle operation
Defensive driving
Basic first aid/CPR
Use of mobility aids (wheelchairs, lifts)
GPS and route planning
Infection control practices
Electronic trip documentation
Communication with clinical staff
Customer service in healthcare settings
Medical Insurance

Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain)
Defensive driving training preferred
