Description
Hebrew SeniorLife seeks a compassionate Transportation Driver to safely transport older adults between Hebrew SeniorLife communities, medical appointments, and local destinations. In this frontline role, you support residents’ dignity and independence by providing timely, courteous door-to-door service and assisting with mobility devices. You will perform vehicle safety checks, follow set routes and schedules, and uphold strict safety and infection-control standards. Assist residents with boarding, seating, mobility devices, and safe disembarking
Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs
Follow scheduled routes, timelines, and dispatch instructions accurately
Maintain clean, safe vehicles and comply with infection control protocols
Adhere to traffic laws, safety regulations, and organizational policies
Provide courteous, respectful customer service to residents and families
Accurately complete trip logs and related transportation documentation
Passenger transport safety
Defensive driving
Vehicle inspection and basic maintenance checks
Schedule and route adherence
Wheelchair lift and securement operation
Infection control and sanitation procedures
Documentation and trip logging
Customer service in healthcare setting
Basic incident reporting
Two-way radio or dispatch system use

Commercial Driver’s License with passenger endorsement preferred (if required by fleet)
