Description
SynopsisThe Senior Manager of Fleet Projects is responsible for managing the implementation of commercially critical, fleet related sales and restructuring initiatives which drive out cost and improve performance and profitability for Etihad.
Accountabilities
- Programme Management - The role takes accountability for planning, structuring, leading cross departmental teams and executing large high risk, complex fleet related projects. It requires strong management and commercial focus to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and within Board approvals
- Fleet exit - Prepare and issue RFPs, analyze results, present the results, obtain necessary approvals, negotiate the terms and conditions with the purchaser, review documentation and manage aircraft or engine delivery process by engaging with internal and external stakeholders and meet timelines and budget while adhering to Standard Operating Policy & Procedures
- Fleet exit updates - Lead bi-weekly fleet exit meeting to update all relevant stakeholders and table any issue foreseen during delivery process
- Spare engine restructuring - Analyze spare engine portfolio and lease contracts, identify areas of improvement, obtain necessary internal approvals, negotiate commercial position with engine lessors, bring together the skill sets from across all divisions of the airline to ensure key milestones are delivered on time and within budget, review documentation and manage (re) delivery process
- Relationships - To build and maintain excellent relationship with other parts of the business including Finance, Treasury, Legal, Technical, Network Planning and Technical Contracts as well as external parties including aircraft and engine lessors, traders and part-out companies.
- Technical Input - provide technical input in relation to engine (re) delivery conditions and proposed mitigations and negotiate and document these with lessors.
Education & Experience
- This job requires the holder to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with all levels of management and employees.
- The incumbent must be able to successfully communicate both formally and informally and show high levels of persuasion and negotiation skills.
- Proven track record in communication with internal departments is needed to gain agreements/support on various levels
- The incumbent needs to show high levels of diligence and project management skills.
- Experience in negotiating with aircraft / engine purchasers is required.
- Effective external communication in close cooperation with buyers at different levels of their organization to achieve optimized solutions for Etihad.
