Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to gain insight into clients' mental health difficulties, creating personalized treatment plans that cater to their specific needs.
- Deliver high-quality individual and group therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques designed to promote psychological growth and overall wellness.
- Establish therapeutic goals with clients collaboratively and monitor their progress to adjust treatment plans when necessary.
- Offer teletherapy sessions to clients who may have transportation challenges or prefer the convenience of virtual appointments, ensuring accessibility to mental health care.
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of client sessions, adhering to ethical standards and practices in line with industry regulations.
- Actively engage in ongoing professional development to enhance clinical skills and stay updated on new trends and best practices in marriage and family therapy.
Patient Population / Client Focus
You will work primarily with individuals facing a variety of mental health issues, including trauma, anxiety, and depression. Our goal is to provide a safe and nurturing space where clients can express their struggles, and where you can guide them towards recovery and improved mental health. You will also have the opportunity to facilitate group therapy sessions, fostering community and connection among clients.
Qualifications
- Active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
- A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field is required to ensure a strong theoretical foundation for clinical practice.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to foster a trusting client-therapist relationship.
- An empathetic and nonjudgmental approach to client care, allowing for a supportive therapeutic alliance.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to effectively handle caseloads and administrative tasks.
Preferred Experience
While a minimum of two years of experience in a related therapeutic role is required, we value diverse professional backgrounds. Experience in addiction treatment and trauma-informed care is a plus, as it enhances our ability to serve our client population effectively.
Compensation and Benefits
- Annual salary in the range of USD 70,000 – 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
