Description
Veyo seeks Patient Transport Drivers to provide safe, reliable non-emergency medical transportation for Medicaid and Medicare members. In this field-based role, you’ll pick up patients at home or facilities and drive them to scheduled appointments, assisting with boarding and mobility devices as needed. Using Veyo’s technology platform, you’ll follow assigned routes, maintain on-time performance, document trips, and communicate with dispatch. Success requires excellent driving skills, a strong safety mindset, professionalism, and empathy for vulnerable patient populations in a mission-driven environment.Safely transport patients to and from medical appointments
Assist patients with boarding, exiting, and securing mobility devices
Follow scheduled routes and maintain on-time performance
Communicate professionally with patients, facilities, and dispatch
Complete trip documentation accurately in mobile app or logs
Inspect and maintain vehicle cleanliness and basic safety standards
Follow HIPAA, safety, and transportation compliance requirements
Report incidents, delays, or vehicle issues promptly
Safe driving and defensive driving techniques
Navigation and route planning using GPS/apps
Basic vehicle safety and inspection
Patient handling and mobility assistance
Time management and punctuality
Use of mobile apps for dispatch and documentation
Knowledge of local traffic patterns and regulations
Understanding of HIPAA and patient privacy basics
Customer service and communication
Incident and trip reporting
