Work Environment
This role is based in our outpatient office setting, providing a dynamic and engaging environment where therapists collaborate closely with each other as well as with our administrative team. As a physical therapist within our clinic, you will have the autonomy to choose your own hours within a Monday to Friday schedule, allowing for a work-life balance while ensuring your patients receive timely treatments. The clinic is thoughtfully designed, equipped with advanced rehabilitation technology and spacious therapy areas that encourage movement and healing.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough evaluations of patients recovering from injuries, diseases, or surgeries to identify their functional limitations and needs.
- Establish individualized treatment plans that incorporate various therapeutic modalities including exercise programs, manual therapy, and modern rehabilitation equipment.
- Implement tailored interventions aimed at reducing pain, enhancing mobility, and improving patients' overall physical function.
- Regularly document treatment progress and patient responses, ensuring adherence to best practices and improving treatment protocols.
- Continuously reassess and modify treatment goals based on patient progress and feedback, optimizing the rehabilitation process.
- Provide education for patients, families, and caregivers on safe techniques for mobility, the use of assistive devices, and necessary exercise regimens.
- Stay abreast of current physical therapy practices through ongoing professional development, including attending workshops and networking events.
Patient Population / Client Focus
The patient population at Prince George's Rehab Clinic is diverse, with individuals ranging from young children to senior adults. Our clients often seek treatment for various orthopedic injuries, postoperative rehabilitation, and chronic pain management. Qualifications
- A Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required.
- A valid state license to practice physical therapy is mandatory.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to effectively relate with patients and collaborate with team members.
- Proficient in word processing and familiar with electronic health record systems.
- A flexible and adaptable mindset to meet the ever-changing needs of our patients.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in outpatient orthopedic settings is appreciated, but new graduates are welcome and encouraged to apply.
- Familiarity with specific therapeutic modalities utilized in physical therapy, as well as evidence-based treatment approaches.
Compensation and Benefits
