Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough client assessments to understand individual histories, challenges, and goals.
- Develop and implement tailored treatment plans based on the latest evidence-based practices, adapting strategies as necessary for optimal client outcomes.
- Deliver one-on-one therapy sessions using various modalities that align with clients' specific needs, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and others.
- Set measurable therapeutic goals in collaboration with clients and actively monitor their progress, providing encouragement and resources to support their journey.
- Utilize teletherapy platforms to provide virtual sessions, ensuring accessibility for clients facing transportation, mobility, or scheduling challenges.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation to meet ethical standards and ensure continuity of care.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities offered by the organization to enhance skills and stay updated on best practices.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Paloma Counseling Services caters to a diverse clientele, including individuals dealing with trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and various mental health challenges. Our therapists are committed to embracing a non-judgmental, empathetic approach, providing a safe space for clients to explore their thoughts and emotions while facilitating their healing journeys.
Qualifications
- A valid and current state license as either an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW is mandatory.
- A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology is required.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, complemented by a strong ability to build rapport with clients.
- Demonstrated empathy, compassion, and a non-judgmental attitude towards client experiences.
- Organizational and time-management skills that enable effective management of client caseloads and documentation requirements.
Preferred Experience
While not mandatory, experience in teletherapy or a strong foundational understanding of virtual counseling methodologies is preferred. Familiarity with various mental health treatment modalities will also enhance the effectiveness of the therapeutic process.
Compensation and Benefits
We believe in rewarding our professionals for their contributions. Compensation for this role ranges from $90,000 to $100,000 annually, influenced by your experience and caseload. In addition, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
