Hiring Range: The hiring range for this position is $95,842.26 - $105,426.18 per year, depending on skills and qualifications.
Work Schedule: Generally, Monday-Friday, with some evenings, weekends, and holiday events as needed. On-call scheduling will occur, as required, as well as after-hours meetings and problem resolution.
NATURE OF WORK
As a member of the Public Works Fleet Division, the Fleet Services Manager is part of the Public Works Senior Leadership Team that performs supervisory, management, and highly skilled analytic work and is responsible for strategic oversight, financial stewardship, and technical innovation across the Town’s fleet of more than 440 assets. This position ensures that the Town’s multimillion-dollar fleet investment is managed with maximum efficiency, safety, and sustainability. The Fleet Services Manager plays a pivotal role in long-range planning, capital investment strategies, and integration of emerging technologies (including hybrid/electric vehicles, telematics, alternative fuels) to align with the Town’s sustainability and operational goals. They play a pivotal role in planning, developing, and overseeing the Fleet Division and division projects, while creating and leading SOP’s, training programs, and safety programs, and also training and assisting with mechanical repairs related to operations and maintenance when needed. These duties include directing and implementing a wide range of preventative and regular maintenance functions for the vehicles and equipment used by the various divisions in the Town, including but not limited to Police, Streets, Utilities, Parks, and Recreation. The Town's Fleet is comprised of pickups, sedans, SUVs, various heavy equipment, equipment attachments, and small equipment such as trimmers, blowers, mowers, etc. The position is responsible for monitoring the fueling, def, and lubricant systems and administering services and contracts associated with Fleet operations and maintenance.
