Key Responsibilities
- Deliver direct physical therapy services in alignment with treatment plans devised by licensed physical therapists.
- Assist and guide patients through various therapeutic exercises designed to alleviate pain, enhance mobility, and restore function.
- Implement therapeutic modalities such as heat, cold, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation for pain relief and recovery.
- Conduct muscle reeducation, gait training, transfer techniques, and prosthetic education to facilitate patient independence.
- Document and communicate patient progress and responses to treatment, ensuring clear collaboration with physical therapists and medical staff.
- Instruct patients and their families in the proper utilization of mobility devices like wheelchairs, crutches, and prosthetics.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical notes, ensuring they become part of the patient's comprehensive medical record.
- Participate in staff training and interdisciplinary meetings to foster continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
- Engage in quality assessment initiatives to enhance departmental service delivery standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned, contributing to team objectives and patient care initiatives.
Patient Population / Client Focus
As a Physical Therapist Assistant at Ensign Physical Therapy, you will work with a diverse patient population, including those recovering from surgery, managing chronic conditions, or seeking rehabilitation after injury. Qualifications

- CPR certification must be maintained at all times while in practice.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and have access to an insured vehicle for transportation to off-site therapy engagements.
Preferred Experience
- A minimum of two years of experience working as a Physical Therapist Assistant, preferably within a hospital or clinical setting.
- Experience in utilizing electronic health record systems, particularly for documentation and patient progress tracking.
- Advanced knowledge of therapeutic modalities and interventions commonly employed in physical therapy.
Compensation and Benefits
